Praise Report from here at Tyner!!  3-4-08

Alberta,

All praises and glory to God!!!  The prayers were heard and answered.  Kim's tumor turned out to be a benign tumor that only occurs on the adrenal gland.  Removal of the adrenal is the cure.  She won't have to have any chemo or radiation treatments.  She will have to have MRI every 6 months to watch the other adrenal gland and she will be on hormones at least until they determine if her right adrenal gland is producing enough on its own.  Thank you to all who have been praying!

I have just returned from seeing my oncologist and wanted to give you an update as many knew I would get test results today.  How powerful prayer is and good God is!  My doctor came into the room scratching his hair with a look of confusion on his face.

The CAT scans showed no spreading of the lymphoma and the bone marrow showed what we already knew....lymphoma.  He said it appeared to be confined to the small intestine (bowel) area and that is what makes it "tricky" to know what to do.  Here I sit thinking, "tricky, my foot, it is God working through all these prayers going up for me!"  Anyway, I let him talk on and I could easily tell he did not know what to think because he kept flipping from my radiology reports, to Dr. Patel's report, etc.  So, they want to do a pill endoscopy on me, probably next Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. at Memorial.  Dr. Patel and Dr. Arrowsmith have been consulting about me and I presume Dr. Patel will be the one to perform this procedure.  It will involve me swallowing a pill that contains a camera and it will go into the bowel area and make pictures.  Then we will go from there.

We all know who gets the glory in this situation this morning because I have been lifted up by so many and He is merciful and good.  Thanks to all who have been praying for me, for the words of encouragement (even though I have been positive all along), and for the hugs, pats, and loving care shown to me over the past couple of weeks.

I asked for a time frame if they watch and wait.  Dr. Arrowsmith said that was hard to determine and he has only one other patient like me and they are in their 6th year.  I think I will beat that record!!

Thanks for getting the word out for me.
