Resurrection 08 Testimonies  Hear the power of God flowing in and through each of you!!

This year Resurrection was really really amazing! Starfield was awesome! When they were singing i could hear the altar calling my name. I felt God pulling my hands in the air to praise him. My favorite song was "I Will Go". The speaker was really great too. It was fun to spend time with my friends and the youth. Jumping in the FREEZING fountain and getting chased by the security guard was something i will never forget! Now i am living my life All Out For God, The Radical Way!!! - Kaitlyn

"I've had a lot of distractions lately and when I went up for the alter call I prayed for focus and when I went back to my seat a phrase popped into my head, "Lord Block these sinful thought from my mind!".   So every time I'm praying now and get off track, I say that prayer and continue with my prayer, I fell like God was definitely telling me what to say and it was a true blessing.  - Micah

My favorite part was going up to the front to see Starfield.  I learned there are good fears and bad fears.  - Melanie

This weekend I felt very close to God.  Especially when the youth did the drama skit.  Ever since a year ago when Jeff Mac showed us that song, whenever it is played I feel the Holy Spirit moving through me.  My brother played the song in the car and I felt Him then and every time I saw the youth do their skit I felt him.  Then when they did the skit on stage, I could feel Him like crazy and I know everyone around me could to.  I felt extremely close to God.  The the speaker that night was good and felt Him more when I went down to the alter and prayed by my brother with Dusty behind us praying for us. - Michael

I found out God loves us and I had so much fun.  We had free time and we had great worship.  It was a great experience and I can't wait till next year.  - anonymous

I went up for the alter call and I didn't do anything but sit there for like 5 minutes and kind of went along with what the speaker was saying.  then I just came to a conclusion of, "What am I doing here?"  I realized lately that I hadn't been praying or even listening in others prayers.  The I was just praying out to God asking him to help me, " Help ME!"  I kept saying in my mind.  Before I have been letting other people tell me stuff and actually was listening to them.  But God just started talking to me and I prayed and cried like never before for everyone...it was amazing! - Drew

This weekend:  Bonding with the youth, the drama, airsoft till 3am, the experience of resurrection 2008, Starfield, the message of the speaker, watching the crazies jump in the fountain. - Paul

The last few weeks/months I have been growing so much in God.  Just living each day in amazement of His love and power.  Just walking everyday truly experiencing Him.  Resurrection was awesome and I felt I was ready for his message.  I want to be a change for God.  I know he will use me and I just want to be obedient and be used.  Everything I do I want to praise His holy name.  I want to love and serve the way he did.  I want to be a REVOLUTION!!   The drama was also really powerful.  God was just huge, I was in the front of 5,000 people but saw no one.  My eyes were fixed on the one who set me free!! - Sara

Resurrection this year was quite amazing!  The speaker was great and used so many real life examples that I could really relate to.  Starfield was amazing as usual.  They had new music and the song that touched me the most said..." I will go, I will go, Lord send me. To the world, to the lost, to the poor and hungry.  Take everything I am, I'm the clay within your hands.  I will go, I will go SEND ME!"  I guess I really feel that God is calling me to go and share about Him.  This year we got the amazing opportunity to perform our drama of "Set Me Free."  I've done the drama at least 20 times...but when we got on stage, especially the first session, I felt that drama like I never felt it before.  It was a feeling like th demons were really taking my life, but God saved me..it was such and incredible feeling.  I really felt the Spirit of God there with us as we did it.

Once again RES was a success!  Hooray.  I love God! - Ashleigh

It made me want to mission to people who don't know Jesus.  I also want to show myself as a better person.  I had a great time and I have fun letting loose with my friends in the youth group - anonymous.

Some of my favorite things this weekend:  Starfield, performing on stage, the speaker was very good and interesting with all the examples he used, devotions in our room, spending time with the youth, alter call, communion. - Allie

It was awesome!! From having air soft fights at 2 in the morning to going to worship at the sessions. Starfield did an amazing job leading worship. Ire ally could pour myself out to the Lord.  I could really tell that God was with us this weekend and was working through everyone.  It was amazing getting to worship through our drama this weekend.  I feel that God really used us to do some amazing things this weekend.  I feel renewed and I am going to live the Radical Life! - Andrew

I discovered the glory of God is wonderful.  We did a lot of fun things over the weekend.  I thought our youth's drama was awesome.  - Jake

The drama was by far the coolest thing about Resurrection 08. It felt amazing to be God's vessel to 6,000 youth.  I felt like the message of "Set Me Free" was one that needed to be heard by a lot of people. I know I was greatly blessed by it, and if only one out of the 6000 was blessed, then we did our job. - Michael

The drama spoke the most to me.  I will always remember it and it will help me with whatever temptations I am stuck in and need God's help to get out.  Also I got to do my favorite thing; Praise God!  There was no fear in me, no distractions.  I wasn't thinking about anyone around me and I felt just me and God.  And the whole weekend I was talking and thinking about Jesus and I am going to try to do that more.  - Jeff

My favorite part of Res 08 was the huge air soft gun fight.  The only part that wan't good was when we had to pick up all the BB's.

Resurrection this year for me seemed to fly by.  I mean all the other time I've been went by fast, but never this fast.  Needless to say God was definitely moving and at work.  The weekend started of by the first session lighting a fire under the feet of the young.  by the end of the first worship session and talk our hearts were already beating to the rhythm of God's chorus.  Throughout every talk in the weekend I was becoming more and more prepared to be a radical.  But the thing I love about the trip the most was the worship.  I felt so free and overwhelmed.  I could really feel and hear God when we were singing and when my hands were lifted I could feel God grabbing on to me.  One line of a song stuck out to me all weekend and ever since, "We are a war, already won!!"  To know the war Christians are fighting for is already won by God fills me with hope, courage, and strength.  Those words really spoke to me and revealed God in another mighty way to me.  Our God is mighty to save.  I will forever remember my senior resurrection.  God was everywhere, from the worship, to the talks, to the devotions in our rooms at night.  God made us stronger in my self, my abilities and my relationships.  I am completely sold out to God and I'm never slowing down or letting up.  Won't shut up or sit down. Won't negotiate at the table of the enemy!  I will worship and praise Him and make Him known until he comes back.  So that He will have no doubt who I am. - Blaine
